Get certified in CPR AED!
February, often associated with love, has more to offer than Cupid's arrival. February is also American Heart Month, a time to draw attention to more than just chocolate hearts, but also heart disease. Heart disease is responsible for 1 in 4 deaths annually.
In addition to learning more about how to prevent heart disease, February is also a good time to make sure that you have employees trained in CPR AED Certification. With roughly 47% of heart attacks occuring outside a hospital setting, the chances of an incident happening at your workplace are relatively high.
Each minute after a heart attack, more heart tissue deteriorates or dies. Restoring blood flow quickly helps prevent permanent heart damage. Having employees trained to administer CPR and AED will help to restore blood flow and minimize damage until EMS personnel arrive on-site.
Northampton Community College’s Center for Business and Industry is an American Heart Association (AHA) Authorized Trainer. We provide open enrollment training programs at our campuses in Easton, Southside Bethlehem and Tannersville, along with on-site training for employers with 10 or more people requiring training.
