NCC’s New Success Navigator Suite

Achieving Ultimate Success!

On September 26, Northampton Community College (NCC) held a ribbon cutting for its newly built Success Navigator Suite on the first floor of College Center, Room 115, on Bethlehem Campus. It is by the main stairwell visible from the entrance to College Center from the Quad. Students certainly won’t be able to miss it! That’s a good thing because as Dr. Eric Rosenthal, dean of student success at NCC, explains, it’s just what our students need.

“I’m excited that we arrived at having all of our navigators hired. We have this amazing facility for them to work out of with maximum visibility. This is going to allow us to have every single student assigned to a faculty advisor or success navigator,” said Rosenthal.

Students who are new to NCC are assigned a navigator who guides them on a path and major that fits their goals. They work with students during their first semester, helping them with any challenges or obstacles, and create a clear road map of the courses they need to complete their journey at NCC. In the second semester, the students transition to a faculty advisor once they are set on a path unless they need extra attention.

Please bear in mind that Placement Testing will still occur on the 3rd floor.  Walk-in advising will now occur exclusively in the Student Enrollment Center.  Any students seeking walk-in advising in CC 115 will be directed to SENC.
