Communication Students Host the Wing-Off Carnival

The fun benefited Monroe County Meals on Wheels

Wing-Off Carnival

Students at the Monroe Campus were able to enjoy carnival games, cotton candy, popcorn and a chicken-wing eating and ping pong competition at the Wing-Off Carnival on November 11. The proceeds benefited the Monroe County Meals on Wheels.

"This is a project for Professor Chris Armstrong's small group communication class," student Taylor Natiello said. "We had to host an event for a charity. Our goal is to raise $500 for Meals on Wheels tonight."Wing-Off Carnival, Taylor Natiello far right

Natiello partnered with classmates Christopher Rizzo, Amir Samaroo and Mike Chung to plan the event. "We wanted to focus on fun activities that most students enjoy," she said.

The activities included apple cider pong and a chicken wing eating competition.

"We're hoping everyone has a great time while we support Meals on Wheels," Natiello said.

Small group communication students will sponsor a Santa Fest on November 21 to benefit the Animal Welfare Society of Monroe.
