An advocate of health and now a scholarship winner
Kori-Ann Taylor, a biological science major at Northampton Community College (NCC), was chosen out of 1,160 applicants to receive a $5,000 Community College Scholarship from SR Education Group.
Taylor was chosen out of 1,160 applicants along with 11 other $5,000 scholarship winners this quarter. The SR Education Group, an education research publisher and scholarship provider founded in 2004, is passionate about making quality education attainable for everyone. The group currently provides approximately $260,000 in needs-based scholarships to students each year.
In their application, awardees explained their academic and career goals and financial circumstances. Taylor said, “I was elated when I received word that I was awarded the SR Education Group scholarship. Like other students from low-income households, I dreamt of college but could not afford the cost. Now I am able to live out my dream of being an advocate of health.” Taylor plans on enrolling in a physician assistant program after NCC. She hopes to one day provide patient-centered care to resolve issues within the field of immunology.
SR Education Group is currently accepting applications for the upcoming quarter’s scholarships until the June 30 deadline. To find additional details and applications visit the SR Education Group’s website.
