Jameson

What kind of pet do you have (dog, cat, bird, etc.)?    Dog

What is your pet’s name?   Jameson

How did you come up with this name?   It’s a running joke in our family that pets are named for alcohol!

How old is your pet?   3

What is your pet’s gender?    Male

Describe your pet in three words:    Goofy, Sweet, Happy

What is the thing your pet cannot live without?   His sister Cally

Can your pet do tricks? If so, what?   He can sit, stay, high 5, come (if there are no other distractions)

What is the best trick your pet has taught you?   Patience

Do you have a nickname for your pet?   Mommy’s Boy, Big Boy

You know your pet is in a good mood when he/she does this:   Runs around, jumps on you, then runs around again

Your pet’s favorite spot to hangout is:   Love seat in our back family room

Favorite toy:   Any toy Cally picks up

One habit you would love to change:    Pulling on the leash and barking at EVERY person/animal we pass when trying to walk

Does your pet prefer to play with people, or other animals?    Both

Does your pet like children?   Yes

If you could ask your pet one question and they’d be able to answer it, what would it be?   Why do you bark so much?

Can your pet read your emotions?    Yes

Funniest moment you’ve had with your pet:    There are so many with Jameson. But, he likes to jump on one of our chairs, and then onto a piece of furniture that I have in front of a window. I have an “old fashion” bowl and pitcher on the piece of furniture. So, one day, he quickly jumped up on the chair, then the furniture and slide into the pitcher/bowl. The pitched broke and made a noise which spooked him. He immediately jumped down and ran, with his tail between his legs, into the back room of the house! Maybe he didn’t want us to catch him in the act, but we knew it was him. He is NOT supposed to be on the furniture!

What is the most rewarding aspect of owning your pet?   The happiness they bring into your life and the unconditional love. Watching Jameson and Cally play or just hang out together always makes me smile. And cuddling and petting a dog is a true stress reliever!

Additional comments:    It’s very rewarding to watch Jameson and Cally together. You can see the bond they have. They are always together, whether they are out in the yard or in the house. One minute they are kissing each other, the next they are rough-housing and running around. I’m glad they get to grow up with each other!
