Diversity was celebrated at the Monroe Campus the week of February 29 - March 3. Diversity Education Week kicked off on February 29 with members of the Pan African Student Caucus teaching students how to create African mask art and ended with D'Versapalooza, featuring trivia and food from around the world!
In between, the Women's Club hosted a talk about women of history and the Gay Straight Alliance educated about the transgender community. The workshop "Managing Finances While Going Back to School" was presented by the Adult and Non-Traditional Students Club and PSECU. The Hispanic American Cultural Club held a screening of the HBO documentary "The Latin Explosion: A New America" and salsa dancing lessons were held!
Diverse events are held at NCC all year long, not just during Diversity Education Week! Check the online calendar frequently as new events are added often.
