In observance of Earth Week, The Sustainability and Sierra Clubs are sponsoring the fracking film "Groundswell Rising." The film captures the passion of people engaged in a David and Goliath confrontation as they stand together, challenging a system that promotes profit over health. A discussion with the filmmakers will follow.

Monroe Campus

Northampton Community College will offer SMaRT (Science, Math and Related Technologies) workshops for girls and boys in grades 4 - 8. Sponsored by a Sanofi Pasteur Community Grant, participants can choose three workshops to explore water properties, chemistry, biology, physics, microscopes, DNA, programming, enviro-circuits, scientific method or food science. There will be a free screening of a science movie for the parents.
