Why This Program

Contribute to the wellbeing of your community with a two-year Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Health Sciences degree from Northampton Community College. You’ll develop the foundational knowledge, skills and abilities to engage in public health education or to work in community health.

With a broad understanding of the healthcare system, you’ll be prepared to start your career immediately after graduation, or you can transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree in health communication, health administration or public health.

NCC’s health sciences major is available on the Bethlehem campus in Pennsylvania, but you also have the flexibility to study partially online.

Program Overview:

Learn evidence-based approaches to public health education and health awareness through courses in chemistry, microbiology, epidemiology and more. You’ll apply essential health-related concepts and fundamental healthcare knowledge in real-world community health settings. The partially online option provides flexibility for you to balance your other personal and professional commitments with the associate in health sciences program.
