Scholarships and Student Clubs

The Hispanic Caucus has two scholarships to help students in various educational careers. Scholarships are awarded to NCC students who meet the criteria below. To be used at our institution. To apply for those scholarships, students must attend NCC and complete the scholarship application using their NCC credentials. Students should also mention they are interested in one of our scholarships.

Blanca Smith Scholarship - The Hispanic Caucus establishes the scholarship to honor Blanca Smith for her many professional contributions and generosity to NCC students during her tenure as a Counselor in the Project Aware/ACT 101 Counseling Department. The scholarship was founded to provide a stipend to a minority student in good academic standing attending Northampton Community College for assistance in completing their higher education.

Mario Jose Donate Scholarships - This scholarship honors Mario José Donate Torres, who was born in Puerto Rico, studied in the United States and after facing many language barriers, returned to Puerto Rico to become a successful businessman. A father of nine, he instilled in each of his children a love of and appreciation for the value of a good education. He made sure that all nine had access to higher education. This endowment is their tribute to his memory. This scholarship was founded to support Hispanic students, particularly those of Puerto Rican descent.
