HHAs help individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, cognitive impairment as well as the elderly by assisting in their daily living activities.

Program overview: The HHA program provides 88 hours where the student will learn the fundamental skills to care for a client in the home, including personal care tasks; working with the interdisciplinary care team; and understanding and following the client's care plan, that are required for entry-level employment.  Download program flyer.

Important information about the program:

  • Participants must be Pennsylvania residents, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED to enroll. 
  • Cost for additional enrollment requirements are the responsibility of the participant.
  • Funding may be available to eligible participants through PA CareerLink®.
