Residential Dining

Dining Options & Meal Plans

Located within the Residence Hall Commons, the Dining hall is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the fall and spring semesters. The Dining Hall offers students a variety of food and meal options. Students can choose from one of the meal plans listed below.

Meal Plan Options and Costs

Residence Hall Commons Meal Plans for Fall 2024 & Spring 2025

  • 19 Swipe Meal Plan with $200 Flex: $2,075 per semester
  • 14 Swipe Meal Plan with $200 Flex: $1,925 per semester

Students living in the Residence Hall Commons must choose one of the two meal plan options above.  A ‘Swipe’ refers to the one entry in the Dining Hall when they enter for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The meals offered are buffet style, so the resident can eat as much or as little as they would like.

Students can choose between 19 ‘swipes’ (meals a week) or 14 ‘swipes’ (meals a week). When choosing a meal plan, think about how often you will be on campus or if you will be on campus over the weekends. Swipes do not roll over from week to week, so if a student does not use all of their swipes or meals in a given week, they lose them.

Each of the meal plan options for the Residence Hall Commons also include Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars is a declining balance that can be used in the College Center Food Court or at The Den (late-night snack bar) located in the Residence Hall Commons for purchasing snacks or grab-n-go items.

Apartment Meal Plans for Fall 2024 & Spring 2025

  • 75 Swipe Meal Plan: $1,015 per semester
  • $550 Flex Meal Plan: $550 per semester

Students that live in an Apartment can choose from any of the meal plan options above (including the Residence Hall Commons Meal Plans). Students that reside in the apartments have the option of choosing a smaller meal plan as each apartment is equipped with a kitchen that allows students to prepare their own meals. Residents living in the apartments can also opt-out on a meal plan due to having a full kitchen and the ability to cook their own meals.

The 75 Swipe Plan provides the student 75 swipes over the entire semester to use the Dining Hall in the Residence Hall Commons and has no Flex Dollars associated with it. The $550 Flex Plan allows students to use their declining balance at the The Den, the Food Court located in College Center, or in the Residence Hall Commons Dining Hall.
