Dr. Jeffrey W. Focht, Vice President, Academic Affairs Northampton Community College, (NCC) has announced the appointments of three new full-time faculty members. They are:
Jeffrey Armstrong, assistant professor, psychology. Armstrong received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and his master's degree in psychological counseling from Monmouth University. He has been an adjunct instructor at NCC for the past 3 years and has also taught at Pennsylvania State University, Berks; Gwynedd-Mercy College, DeSales University; and Brookdale Community College. He is a resident of Bethlehem.
Rebecca Heid, assistant professor, hospitality management. She received her bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant, institutional management from Pennsylvania State University and her MBA in International Trade from Johnson & Wales University. She has been an adjunct instructor at NCC for the past 5 years and has also worked at Lehigh County Community College in career services and as an adjunct instructor. For four years, she has held various management positions in the hospitality industry. Heid is a resident of Emmaus.
Norman Lippincott, Jr., associate professor computer science. He received a bachelor's and master's degrees from East Stroudsburg University in computer science. He has been an adjunct instructor at NCC since 1998 and worked at Cedar Crest College as an assistant professor for thirteen years. He has also worked as a programmer-analyst for 17 years. He lives in Saylorsburg.
