Domestic Resident Students

If you live on campus, NCC requires you to have health insurance. Domestic students living on campus will automatically be enrolled in and billed for the domestic student plan.

Declining Coverage
If you already have health insurance of a comparable nature, you may waive this coverage by submitting the online waiver request prior to the published deadlines below. Waivers are valid for one (1) academic year (Fall to Spring) and must be resubmitted for each new academic year.

Please follow the link to complete the required form. You will be entering a secure server to provide your insurance information and will receive a confirmation once your waiver has been received; please keep it for your records.

Important Information about Waivers
Waivers must be successfully completed online no later than 2 weeks prior to the tuition due date in order to be deducted from your bill by the due date. Keep in mind that tuition and fees for students who register on or after the due date are due within 3 business days from date of registration.

Upon successful submission of the online waiver, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Please print and keep for your records.

It is the student's responsibility to confirm that the waiver is reflected as a credit on the student tuition bill prior to check-in or no later than 2 weeks after the waiver deadline. Waivers will not be granted retroactively. If the waiver is not reflected on the bill within 2 weeks from submission (with confirmed receipt), students should contact Collegiate Insurance Resources 800-322-9901 for the status of the waiver request.

 

Your waiver will be good for the entire year. Only new students to the college or students newly entering the residence facilities in the spring will need to complete a waiver in the spring. Waivers will be accepted as follows for each student type:

Please note that waivers cannot be accepted after these dates. You will be enrolled in the appropriate insurance plan if a waiver is not received by the noted dates and responsible for payment of your insurance charge. Students who are admitted to housing on or after the waiver deadline dates who wish to waive insurance coverage must contact the Bursar's Office to obtain the appropriate form for submission with their payment for room and board by the payment deadline.

Dependent Coverage
Dependents (spouses and children) are eligible for coverage as long as the student is enrolled in the plan. To enroll your dependents please print and complete the enrollment form and mail it with your payment as noted on the form.
