Rich Santillo has taught electronics at the Fab Lab in Fowler Center since 2013. His day job is Desktop Engineer at Lafayette College, where he has worked since 2006. He holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from Lehigh University, and is an unabashed tinkerer.
Rich has been fiddling with things that move, light up, and beep since childhood, and is always trying to understand how they work, and make them do something new. His teaching philosophy matches his learning style - learn by doing. Start with the end goal in mind (let's build a robot!), and learn as we go along (how are these motors supposed to work?). Then take those new skills, and use them in an even more ambitious project, where we can learn more.
