Welcome new and returning NCC students!
The fall semester begins on August 21. Here's to a successful semester! If you have any questions, you'll find a lot of the answers below. Still puzzled about something? Ask any of our faculty and staff. We are all committed to helping you reach your goals.

Buy the Book(s)
And other supplies, as well as NCC clothing and accessories, at the bookstore. The Bethlehem Campus, Monroe Campus, and the Southside Center all have bookstores. No time to shop? You can purchase textbooks online.
Be notified instantly if there is a school closing, delay or emergency on campus by signing up for NCC Alerts. You'll receive a text or email as soon as a decision is made! You can also find information about school closings on the College's website, as well as Facebook and Twitter.
When Is Fall Break? Or the Last Day to Withdraw from a Class?
Or the date when priority registration begins for the spring? Keep a copy of the academic calendar handy to remind you of important dates.
Nom Nom Nom
Find pizza, wraps, salads, sandwiches, snacks and more at the Food Courts at Bethlehem (second floor of College Center) and Monroe (Pocono Hall). Snacks are also available at the bookstore at the Southside Center, so there is no need to go around hungry.
Free! Free! Free!
Wow! You'll be amazed at all the valuable services offered to students at no cost. Here's a quick look:
Get some extra help with your courses or learn better study habits at The Learning Center closest to you. Tutoring is even available online, so if you prefer doing your homework in your jammies, we've got you covered.
Pro tip: Don't wait until you are failing to seek out a tutor. Get help at the beginning of the semester in classes you know might be a challenge for you.
Free Job Search Help
How do you get from here (NCC) to there (your dream job)? With help from Career Services! Get a resume review, brush up on your interview skills, learn about internships in your field of study, and attend workshops, job fairs and other events.
Free Dental Cleanings
If you are currently registered for credit classes, you're eligible for free dental cleanings by NCC dental hygiene students at the Southside Center. Call 610.861.5442 to request an appointment.
Parties, films, speakers, art exhibits, and music, theater, dance and poetry performances are just some of the events that are free (or a small fee) for students! Check your weekly student email from Northampton NOW for a list of the upcoming week's events.
Pro Tip: Never miss an important email from a professor. Set your student email to forward to your personal email account. Here's how.
If you have a valid NCC student ID, you can use the Fitness Centers free of charge! The Bethlehem Campus center can be found in the Spartan Center. If you want to break a sweat in Monroe, head to Pocono Hall.
Sometimes life can become stressful for students, especially those who are juggling school, work and family responsibilities. If you feel like you need someone to talk to, take advantage of the counseling services offered at the college.
Thanks for the Great Advice!
It's a good idea to know who your academic advisor is and how to contact him or her in case you have any questions about your academic life here at NCC. Your advisor will also have to clear you before you can register for classes for the spring semester. If you're not sure who your advisor is, you can find out by logging into MyNCC. Walk-in advising can be found at both campuses in the Advising Office.
Hitting the Books
There's a lot to choose from at the libraries at both campuses! Not only will you find books galore, but periodicals, newspapers, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources. You can get free help with research here, too, as well as online.
There's More to College Than Taking Exams!
Have fun and learn valuable life skills by getting involved on campus! It's easy to meet students with the same interests as you - there are more than 50 clubs you can join at the Bethlehem and Monroe campuses!
Don't Miss Out!
There are many great events held at NCC! To find out everything going on around campus, from club events to speakers, make sure to visit NCC News regularly. Or check the events calendar. Find NCC on Facebook and Twitter to keep up-to-date on the latest events. Many departments and clubs have their own Facebook pages, too.
Even your parents can be up-to-date on all the latest NCC news! Let them know they can sign up for a newsletter especially for parents of students here.
Whether you want to join a team or sit in the stands, there are plenty of opportunities to play for and cheer on the Spartans. Visit the official website of the Athletic Program for more information about home games and team try-outs.
Even though NCC is the only community college in Pennsylvania that offers on-campus housing, most students commute to class. Keep that in mind when you're looking for a parking spot, especially at Bethlehem Campus. Leave early so you'll have plenty of time to find a spot and won't be late for class. Please drive safely in all NCC parking lots!
For Minor Boo-Boos
The Bethlehem Campus' Health and Wellness Center, located on the first floor of College Center in Room 120, offers first aid and treatment of minor illnesses, as well as smoking cessation and weight loss programs.
NCC Is 99% Smoke Free
If you've got to light up, remember that smoking is allowed in designated areas only. These areas are clearly marked. If you are not sure, don't smoke - you could be fined.
The Northampton Family
