NCC prepares students to meet the challenges of managing the workload in a business office by providing training in database management, word processing, building spreadsheets, presenting graphics, accounting, communications, conducting research, and employee management. Administrative assistants must be critical thinkers and problem-solvers, and function as the glue that holds an office together. The administrative professional becomes a key team player who all pertinent information flows through.
NCC also offers a unique nine-credit specialized diploma option, Office Skills Specialist, to develop the entry-level office software skills needed to become employable in a general office setting. Individual courses are offered in various formats such as online, hybrid, and on campus.
