  1. Small Business Workshops: In conjunction with the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) and local small business educators, we run a number of workshops targeted to the small business community. These workshops focuses on the nuts and bolts of starting and managing small enterprises including non-profits. Some of these workshops are geared towards developing a business plan. As a part of small business development, every Thursday evening from 6:30PM – 8:30PM, the Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem holds its “start your business” class in the center as well.   2. Educator Training: These hands-on workshops focuses on assisting educators understand the principles of entrepreneurial mindset and design thinking. In addition the workshop teaches educators on how to implement entrepreneurial mindset and design thinking tools into their classroom. The workshops can be customized to meet client needs. These workshops are ideal for college as well as K-12 faculty and staff and is continuing education credit eligible.   3. Design Thinking: This problem solving tool is highly popular and invaluable to many organizations. Design thinking is a social technology that emphasizes on engagement, dialogue, collaboration and learning. Understanding human needs is central to this process. The CIE customizes design thinking sessions for businesses, educators and the government. Our design thinking sessions are facilitated in a team based environment by experienced facilitators.
