Bart Springer began teaching Wine Appreciation at both NCC's Fowler Center and Main campus in 1983.  He has been actively involved with wine since 1972 while living in Europe.  Springer has been a licensed wine importer and restaurateur.  He's a member of the Society of Wine Educators, German Wine Society, French Wine Society, American Wine Society, Wine and Spirit Wholesalers Association, and Institute of Masters of Wine.

Springer's desire for years has been to inculcate the love of wine in all of his students. Wine is history and lately mixed with science (since Louis Pasteur), not just an alcoholic drink. Some of his students have improved their careers and even opened commercial wine. He hopes his appreciation courses have played a small part in helping thousands to love fine wine.
