Pat RunningBear Evans is of Native American heritage - a mixture of Nanticoke Lenape and Cherokee. Pat creates Native American clothing and home décor for local stores and Pow Wows. In 2000, Ms. RunningBear started teaching children's programs (karate and make up) at NCC's Monroe campus. In spring she will be teaching African dance and karate. When not teaching, Pat give school lectures on her culture.
During the sixties, RunningBear became a top model in New York with Stewart and Zoli agencies, modeling for Vogue, Essence, and Bazaar. Pat also staged fashion shows for top designers.
After her modeling career, she opened her own NYC model agency booking all nationalities. Pat became a TV and film makeup artist. Some of her clients include Cicely Tyson, Aretha Franklin, Leonard Nimoy, and many others.
Pat has also written songs for Atlantic records and was a dancer with Olatunji dance company.
