Pets on Parade!

Veterinary technician students, along with faculty and staff, got a chance to show off their pets at Judges' Distinguished Choice First Place Winnersthe annual vet tech Pet Picnic on October 6. Proud parents of four-legged fur balls, snakes, lizards, and even a fish paraded their pets in front of a panel of NCC judges, all for the chance to win gift baskets loaded with treats to make Fido smile. This year's winners were:

Judges' Distinguished Choice:
First Prize:  the bevy of pets owned by vet tech student Mandy:  Petunia the pig, goats Nina and Bella, and Bernese Mountain dog Jake.

Second Prize:  Titan, a bull mastiff owned by vet tech student Michelle

Third Prize:  Peanut, a French bulldog owned by vet tech student Kasy

Most Unique Pet:Ponch
Bubba, a bubblegum rat snake owned by vet tech student Nick.

Most Petite and Portable:
Ponch, a Yorkshire terrier owned by staff member Shawn.

Most Magical Mix:
Cutter, a dog owned by vet tech student Beckie

Best Trick:
Max, a mini collie, who gave paw, laid down and rolled over; owned by vet tech student Stephanie.

Best Dressed:
Basset hound Henry, owned by vet tech student Hannah.
