Choosing Dual Enrollment gives students the opportunity to experience the academic rigor of college while earning credits toward a future degree. It also demonstrates a more intense course load on transcripts and improves overall college-readiness, all while doing so at a more affordable cost. Support Services
Adapting to the workload that a college-level course produces can be challenging at first, so we encourage parents to help students practice time-management skills and teach them how to advocate for themselves so they know to speak up if they need help. Dual Enrollees also have access to any of our Student Services such as our Learning Center and Library.
Dual Enrollment Disability Services
Disability Services offers a variety of support and guidance to both prospective and current students with disabilities. We encourage academically qualified students with disabilities to take advantage of our educational programs and activities. Click here to learn more.
Placement Testing
If you do not meet the pre requisite for a course- for example, having a 3.0 GPA/ 83 for some popular courses such as English 1, Psychology and Sociology, you have the option to placement test to gain eligibility. AP Courses & Dual Enrollment
If you have taken an AP class that you'd like to use as a prerequisite for your college course, learn more about tranferring those credits into NCC here.
Transfer Opportunities
Dual Enrollment credits transfer to all PASSHE colleges and most other four-year schools if students receive a grade of a C or higher. For more information on transferring your credits, visit our website.
NCC Honors Program
If you have a 3.5 GPA and/or are ranked in the top 20% of your graduating class, consider applying for the NCC Honors Program. Click here to learn more.

Add/Drop a Class
Complete the Drop or Swap a class process through your Workday Student Portal by the add/drop date on our calendar. (Use this quick reference guide if you need help). Please make note that if a class is dropped by the first drop date, students will receive a full tuition refund. If students choose to drop a class before the second drop date listed, they will receive a 50% tuition refund. If a class is dropped after the second drop date, refunds will not be given. Typically the last day to add or drop classes happens within the first 3 weeks of classes.
Access Grades
You can view grades by logging into his or her Workday Student Portal.
Prepare for Graduation
If you're the parent of a High School senior who is planning to continue their education at NCC, make sure to have your child submit a Change of Major Request through their Workday Student Portal. To view instructions on how to submit a Change of Major, click here.You will also need to request a final High School transcript be sent to NCC to show proof of graduation, and apply for financial aid. High School students can begin applying for financial aid Oct. 1st of their senior year.
Please note if you are interested in pursuing a degree in one of our selective admissions programs (Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Funeral Service, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Radiography, or Veterinary Technician), make sure to review the admissions requirements and application deadlines. These programs have limited enrollment, earlier application deadlines and there is additional documentation that needs to be submitted in order to be considered for acceptance.
