The role of an entry level pharmacy technician is to assist a licensed pharmacist by performing support duties such as; screening prescription orders for completeness and accuracy, preparing prescriptions and mixing medications, managing medication distribution and control systems, providing drug information and education to patients, especially as it relates to the potential for negative side effects, and monitoring the pharmacy's compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws. The certification exam is administered by NHA and the $125 exam fee is not included in the tuition.
Requirements for Enrollment
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completed Student Information Form.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A computer with camera and microphone capabilities.
