Cybersecurity/Ethical Hacking @NCC

NCC's Center for Business and Industry has joined forces with EC-Council the Leader in Cyber Security, offering the following non-credit online Cyber Security Training Certifications and courses and developed new courses in other emerging technology.

Ethical Hacking Core Skills
Learn the core skills to build a solid security foundation to pursue more advanced security training. This class is the bridge between a beginning level security course and the CEH, where you will examine in detail the traffic that traverses the network at the packet and binary level; build a solid knowledge of the lowest layers of the network; conduct extensive hands-on exercises; learn to master the TCP/IP protocol and essential UNIX and Linux survival skills.

Avoiding and Detecting the Modern Hacker
This informational session provides information on how to avoid and detect personal hacks. Learn how Social Engineering is used to gain identifying information for credit card fraud and identity theft.

The Dark Web
This informational workshop explores the history and current uses of the Dark Web. Learn how ethical hackers combat crime and aid law enforcement in bringing cyber criminals to justice. Learn how to get started in the Ethical hacking field.

Social Engineering Basics
The number one hackable system is the human. This interactive workshop covers the most common hacking approaches used in the hacking industry. Social Engineering, hacks aimed at humans, include DOS attacks, Phishing, Vishing, and other types of attacks. Learn how these hacks are done, how to prevent and stop them (when possible). Participants must have their own laptops or computers (please, no Chrome Books, iPads, or Tablets).

Certified Ethical Hacker v10 (CEH)
The goal of this course is to help you master an ethical hacking methodology that can be used in a penetration testing or ethical hacking situation. You walk out the door with ethical hacking skills that are highly in demand, as well as the globally recognized Certified Ethical Hacker certification! This course will immerse you in a “Hacker Mindset;” provide a hands-on training environment employing a systematic ethical hacking process; teach you how to scan, test, hack and secure target systems; cover the Five Phases of Ethical Hacking, diving into Reconnaissance, Gaining Access, Enumeration, Maintaining Access, and Covering your Tracks; prepare you to take the exam.

Certified Network Defender (CND)
Certified Network Defender (CND) is a skills-based, lab intensive program based on a job-task analysis and cybersecurity education framework by the National Initiative of Cybersecurity Education (NICE). The program prepares network administrators on network security technologies and operations to attain Defense-in-Depth network security preparedness; covers protect, detect, and respond approach to network security; contains hands-on labs, based on major network security tools and techniques which will provide network administrators real world expertise on current network security technologies and operations.
