Rosemary Murdy-Haber has been a committed and passionate music educator for 32 years. After retiring from Bethlehem Schools in 2007 with a list of notable credentials including three European Freedom High School Choir tours where her choirs sang for Pope John Paul in the Vatican, St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice and Salzburg, and Vienna, Austria, she came to NCC 6 years ago as Chorus Director and increased the quality and number of participants in the program. Having 2 Masters of Education in Music, she has taught graduate music courses, continues to attend conferences as a lecturer, and teaches piano, voice, and harp. She serves on the Board of Directors at Charter Arts High School and National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Group singing, for those who choose to join a chorus, is the most exhilarating and transformative of all. It takes something incredibly intimate, a sound that begins inside you, shares it with a roomful of people and it comes back as something even more thrilling - harmony.
