As a performer Tim has entertains audiences internationally. He maintains an active performing schedule, appearing in a variety of concert venues such as the Kimmel Center, Montreal Jazz Festival, Carnegie Center, Hard Rock Live, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Memphis Acoustic Guitar Festival, Healdsburg Guitar Festival, Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase and many more...

Tim performs on benefit concerts, festivals, workshops, corporate events and television programs. Tim has performed live on many radio programs as a featured artist including Echoes and Kid's Corner, both popular syndicated shows heard on hundreds of Public Radio stations nationwide. Tim performs as a solo artist and also has shared the stage with such notable artists as Les Paul, George Benson, Jean Luc Ponty, Rick Wakeman, Alex DeGrassi, Jake Shimabukuru, California Guitar Trio, John Sebastian and many more.

In addition to his solo performances Tim offers several different concert programs such as StringSongs, a trio which includes Bass Player Magazine's Player of the Year Michael Manring and Grammy Award winner Pat Robinson on keyboards.

As a Composer
Tim writes "memorable melody lines that go beyond technique," says Billboard magazine. John Diliberto the host of Echoes Radio says "Tim Farrell brings a melodic sensibility to his compositions that makes him stand apart from most of the fingerstyle crowd." And according to NAV Magazine, "Tim Farrell's melodies lay easily on the ear." Tim has written many works for the guitar as a solo instrument and as part of an ensemble with other instruments. He has written acoustic pieces for piano, flute, EBow guitar and many other instruments.

Tim has a rich catalog of electronic compositions as well. His full-length CDs showcase the considerable depth of his composing skills. In addition, Tim has written music for TV and radio shows, multi-media presentations, movie soundtracks, websites and interactive theater productions. Listen for Tim's music in the films "Small Small Thing" currently showing at film festivals internationally and "Mona Lisa Is Missing" available on Netflix. Rosewood Alley won 1st Place Best Instrumental in the International Acoustic Music Awards. Road To Cascadia, Kindred Spirits, Joyride To Tranquility were finalists in the International Acoustic Music Awards Off The Cuff was a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition.

As a Recording Artist
Tim is continually introducing his music to an expanding audience of enthusiastic listeners. In the studio, Tim applies his mastery of technique and precision, while keeping the focus on the melodic power of his compositions. Fans and reviewers alike have praised his recorded works. In describing Tim's recordings, Carla Van Dyke, a New Jersey radio personality said it conveys "Uncommonly beautiful guitar playing in its delicacy and power ... I say it is Five Star Gourmet Guitar Listening". Tim's music receives regular airplay on Broadcast Radio, Satellite Radio, Internet Radio, In-Flight Audio, Podcasts, Music Streaming Services, etc.

Tim's album CODAS was voted BEST OF ECHOES 2010 in the Listener's Poll. Passengers on USAirways, United, and American Airlines flights enjoy Tim's recordings through in-flight audio programming and listeners of National Public Radio hear Tim's music throughout the NPR programming schedule. Tim's newest album Cascadia was named Best Of Echoes 2014 and includes the award winning songs Kindred Spirits and Road To Cascadia.

As an Educator
Tim is teaching a new generation of musicians to develop a deeper knowledge, enjoyment, and appreciation of music. As a guest educator at various institutions and events, Tim conducts workshops, seminars, and residency activities. He can create customized residency programs as well as help to establish goals and objectives to fit the specific needs of a school or organization's curriculum.

Tim's activities as an educator have included programs for Islamorada Community Entertainment, South Florida Center For The Percussive Arts, Accent on Music Seminars, U.S. Navy, Newport Guitar Festival, Montreal Guitar Show, Titusville Council on the Arts, The Midland Theater, Healdsburg Guitar Festival, Woodstock Invitational Luthier's Showcase, Memphis Guitar Festival, Artslink! and many more.

Tim is also a distinguished faculty member of The Conservatory in Doylestown, PA, where he provides private lessons and conducts interactive workshops in Fingerstyle Guitar, Arranging and Composition, and where he is the Artistic Director of the Stretched Strings Concert and Workshop Series.
