GED® testing at Northampton Community College
Due to COVID-19 measures, GED testing at the NCC Libraries Testing Centers is suspended. To schedule a GED test at an in-person testing center, go to your GED.com email account and attempt to schedule a test. Test center locations will appear. Click through the locations to determine if the testing centers are open for in-person testing.
The official, computer-based GED test is offered at the Main Campus-Bethlehem Mack Library testing center. GED testing is also available at the Monroe campus ESSA Library testing center. For testing center information, go to www.northampton.edu/library/testing-center.htm and click on VUE & CLEP.
The GED test is made up of four subjects, broken into separate exams: Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Candidates need to earn 145 points on each subject to pass the test. One test at a time can be scheduled, and candidates pay for each test as they take it. Test fees are paid online directly to the GED Testing Service. For details about the GED test, and to schedule an exam, visit the GED Testing Service at https://ged.com.
