Olivia went wild when she saw her first snowfall!

Your name:     Natalie Eckert

Job title/department:     Associate Bursar/Bursar's Office

What kind of pet do you have (dog, cat, bird, etc.)?       dog

What is your pet’s name?      Olivia

How did you come up with this name?      My daughter named her after her favorite cartoon character at the time - Olivia the pig.

How old is your pet?     5

What is your pet’s gender?    Female

Describe your pet in three words:    Funny, Loving, Crazy

What is the thing your pet cannot live without?     Her people - she loves us very much!

Can your pet do tricks? If so, what?      Jump, turn, sit, paw and she loves to play hide and scare! She hides and then jumps out at us and makes a crazy sound to scare us.

What is the best trick your pet has taught you?  Livy taught us that a dog is a very special part of the family too. She is so loving and wants nothing more than to be close to us always.

Do you have a nickname for your pet?   Livy, Lovey, Looney Livy

You know your pet is in a good mood when he/she does this:     She shares her toy - she does not like to share her toys usually.

Your pet’s favorite spot to hangout is:   The kitchen when I'm cooking. She is a wonderful little vacuum, she patiently waits for me to drop something as I cook.

Favorite toy:   Anything squeaky!

One habit you would love to change:     She doesn't get along well with other dogs, she is just plain mean to them.

Does your pet prefer to play with people, or other animals?    People

Does your pet like children?   Yes

If you could ask your pet one question and they’d be able to answer it, what would it be?    Why don't you want any dog friends?

Can your pet read your emotions?    Yes, especially my daughter's. When she is upset or crying, Olivia is right there with her head on her lap and licking her.

Funniest moment you’ve had with your pet:     We moved to PA from Florida a few years ago. Olivia did not see snow until we got here. The first snowfall, we took her outside to play in it and she went wild. She was hopping around like a rabbit! It was hysterical to watch and hear the crazy sounds she was making.

What is the most rewarding aspect of owning your pet?   The amount of unconditional love you receive. Olivia is very loving and shows it daily.
