MACSC LogoBeginning in 2012, CBI - Corporate & Public Safety entered into an affiliate relationship with the Mid Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center (MAOTIEC). This relationship enables CBI to host select OSHA Training Institute courses.

What is the Mid Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center (MAOTIEC)?
The Mid Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center (MAOTIEC) is a consortium comprised of the Chesapeake Region Safety Council (CRSC) and the Mid Atlantic Construction Safety Council (MACSC). The MAOTIEC is committed to providing all its students a first class training experience, including  but not limited to efficient and expedient registration, convenient, comfortable training accommodations, user-friendly training and reference materials, and thought provoking, congenial classroom instruction offered by the top experts in their respective health and safety fields.

Spring - Summer 2013 Programs

OSHA 500:  Trainer Course in Occupational Safety & Health Standards for the Construction Industry
Ideal for private sector employees with five or more years of construction safety experience who are interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction outreach program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed on those topics that are required in the 10- and 30-hour programs as well as on those that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.

OSHA 503: Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers
This course is designed for private sector personnel who have completed course #501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry and who are authorized trainers in the OSHA Outreach Training Program. It provides an update on OSHA general industry standards and OSHA policies.  Note: Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers are required to attend this course once every four years to maintain their trainer status. Prior to registration, students must provide a copy of their current trainer's card for validation. Minimum contact hours: 18    Prerequisites:  Course #501

All programs feature hands-on demonstrations and lecture from safety experts including industrial hygienists, emergency preparedness/life safety experts, and accident and forensic investigators.  Courses will be held at the Fowler Family Southside Center campus.
