The Management Certificate Program is designed for individuals seeking to improve their professionalism and supervisory or managerial skills. The content focuses on the most current and research-based best practices. The methods are experiential, individualized and participatory. Participants pursuing this certificate may have various backgrounds including, but not limited to, business and industry, government and non-profit. The Management Certificate Program is offered 3 times during the year. One set of classes will start in January, the next in May and the last in September. Participants are encourage to start at the beginning of the program, but can enroll after the program as begun. ManageFirst Certificate
Created and certified by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF), the ManageFirst Program provides current and future hospitality professionals with the key competencies to embark on a management career in a very demanding industry. The program consists of two key components: five hands-on workshops scheduled consecutively once a month and 800 industry work hours. The combination of education and work experience provides a sound basis for success in a leadership capacity. All workshops are facilitated by industry experienced instructors and feature a reference manual textbook that will be utilized for years to come.
