Established in 1975, NCC's Alumni Association is one of the oldest continuously active community college alumni associations in the country. It is also one of the best! The association now counts more than 30,000 members, including individuals who have earned a degree, certificate or specialized diploma or have completed 30 credits or more.
The Alumni Association promotes continuity between the college community and its alumni through outreach programs and fundraising opportunities. The association's objective is to help Northampton achieve its mission by promoting the cause of education and the welfare of the college.
Here are just a few of the ways you can make an impact on the lives of NCC students:
Share Employment Opportunities with Students
If you are an employer with job opportunities, hiring Northampton students and graduates can be a great way to give back to your alma mater.
Northampton's Career Services Office uses College Central to provide job listings exclusively to students and alumni. Contact Career Services to post your employment opportunities.
Mentor Students
Consider reaching out to the upcoming generation of Northampton alumni. NCC students can benefit greatly from your experience and expertise!
As a mentor, you could help a student with advice about career options, job-shadowing, and job search and interview skills.
Contact Career Services to learn how you can be paired with a student.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
There are many other ways to get involved on campus as a volunteer, including long- and short-term commitments. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the Alumni Office.
