Bursar's Office

"Bursar" is a word you may not have come across before, because it's unique to colleges and universities. The term comes from the Latin word for purse, and that makes sense once you know that the Bursar's Office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition, fees, housing and other college-related charges.

The Bursar's Office also handles:

• delivery of all student loan funds and student refunds
• meal plans and flex accounts
• student health insurance
• tax reporting
• repayment of the Perkins Loan program
