Program Description

Northampton Community College offers the Applied Science degree and Specialized Diploma in Biotechnology. The Biotechnology program prepares students to obtain entry-level positions as manufacturing or research technicians in biopharmaceuticals and other industries.

Northampton Community College has received a US Department of Labor grant to create a workforce development program called the "PETRI Project." This new program will offer courses and specialized certificates that will allow individuals to enter new careers in the rapidly expanding field of biomanufaturing.

The National Science Foundation SMaRT Scholarships at Northampton Community College provide grants for full tuition, book costs and other expenses as well as mentoring, tutoring, academic and career support for eligible students pursuing Science, Math and Related Technology (SMaRT) majors. Articulation Agreements:

 

There are currently three signed articulation agreements for transferring NCC Biotechnology credits into related programs at East Stroudsburg University and Marywood University.
