Employment opportunities for graduates of Northampton's Culinary Arts program range from pastry and production chefs in fine restaurants to sole proprietors or executive chefs in leading food establishments. Both degree and diploma programs are intense, with students spending many hours a week in basic training in all the fundamentals of cooking and baking.
Students then put those learned practices into operation in the College's Hampton Winds restaurant, reaping the benefits of hands-on experience before moving on to fine eateries everywhere. Students also master the techniques related to hygiene and modern food preparation, presentation and packaging.
