Medical Office Administration

Medicine is a specialized profession with its own language and protocols. NCC's program quickly immerses the student in the terminology, documentation, practices, coding and reimbursement processes to maximize the training for immediate job placement. NCC grads hit the ground running with the ability to support high case loads and challenging medical record keeping.

What are the differences between a medical Administrative assistant, Medical billing specialist, medical office specialist, and a medical transcriptionist? While the administrative assistant 66-credit delivers an associate degree in applied science, the medical transcription, billing and medical office specialist programs are short, focused specialized diplomas, 18, 12 and 27 credits respectively.

These programs are geared to help students develop the expertise and use of the special tools needed to join the medical workforce immediately.
