Diagnostic Medical Sonography

 

Our Program Highlights

Our new Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree and 18-month Specialized Diploma Program prepare the graduate to enter the health field as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. The curriculum consists of integrated educational and clinical course work with a minimum of 1,350 supervised clinical hours in an approved clinical education affiliate.

Our program offers a general concentration in sonography which includes: abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, breast, thyroid and scrotum. Upon satisfactory completion of program requirements, students will be awarded an associate in applied science degree or a specialized diploma verifying their competency in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and their eligibility for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) examination in Physics, Abdomen, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Admission to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography progam is on a competitive basis.

Film critique with Kellie Lillie (RDMS) is an important part of the clinical learning environment that Tonya Christman receives as a student at NCC.
