Northampton features 12 comfortably furnished apartments with four same-sex students per apartment. Each apartment is equipped with central air conditioning, basic cable, Internet access, a furnished living room, dinette area, kitchen facility, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Laundry facilities are available in the Residence Hall next door. Preference is given to upper class students. There are academic requirements for living in the apartments.
All apartments are equipped with fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. Exterior doors are kept locked and surveillance cameras monitor apartment entrances.
A traditional college living experience is available. Coed by floor, two students share a furnished room equipped with air conditioning, basic cable, and Internet access. There are a few triple and quad rooms in the original residence hall. The new residence hall, set to open in 2015, will include 164 double units and 80 single units.
Residence Hall rooms and public areas are equipped with smoke detectors and sprinklers. Surveillance cameras monitor interior public areas and exterior parking lots. A security access card is required to gain entrance to the lobby and residence hall.
