GET INVOLVED!

CHECK US OUT THIS FALL!!

Come out to any or all of our meetings:

When: The 1st Thursday of each month
What time: 3:30 PM
Where: CC167

Bring a friend and an idea! Every member of the NCC community is welcome.

Students are encouraged to join. Your input is valued. For more information, contact Donna Acerra at dacerra@northampton.edu.

If the meetings won't work for you, there are always other opportunities...

Here are two, but there are always more:

Project Owl Net:
During evenings in October and November, students and others who are interested in volunteering are welcome to join a team and help with owl netting and banding in the Pocono area. Project Owl Net, a network of bird banders and conservationists, tracks the movements of owls during the fall migration. To volunteer, contact Dr. John Leiser, professor of biology at the Monroe Campus, at jleiser@northampton.edu.

Invasive Plants: Do you want to learn about how natural communities change and more importantly what humans are doing to change them?? Sometimes the changes we cause are good, but most of the time, they are not. Volunteer or get service learning credits by working on an EPA-funded project to answer some of these questions. E-mail Dr. Leiser for more information, at jleiser@northampton.edu.
