What is the purpose of a Teaching Learning and Technology Roundtable?
A Teaching Learning and Technology Roundtable typically exists on a campus to bring a carefully designed and focused approach to the use of information technology and to tie all information technology decisions to impact on learning.
With this general purpose in mind, the Teaching Learning and Technology Roundtable at Northampton will serve two major functions in relation to academic computing: planning and advocacy. TLTR will develop short- and long-range plans which will be closely linked to the overall instructional plans and which are tied to the budgeting process. In addition, members of TLTR will serve as advocates for the planned integration of technology within the curriculum and to support faculty as they develop uses of technology which enhance learning.
When are the TLTR meetings?
Regular TLTR meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 11 A.M. A significant amount of work is done by ad hoc groups and/or through additional meetings.
What is TLTR's Governance standing?
TLTR is an ad hoc committee. TLTR may eventually become part of the formal governance process.
