Madeline and Bob Brown
Madeline and Bob Brown retired to Bethlehem from Montclair, NJ, in 1997. Madeline, born in Bangor, PA, was a banker for 30 years and finished her working days as an office manager for several attorneys. Bob, a California native, taught geography on the secondary and college levels, served as director of an afterschool enrichment program, was selected as an HEW Fellow for a year, and ran his own map store in Montclair for 11 years.
Madeline and Bob were married in 1989 and have traveled to 46 countries since then. In 2001 they started making video productions, featuring Madeline's photos and Bob's video clips, edited by Bob with Pinnacle software on a laptop computer. Adding original narratives and recorded music from the selected countries, the productions have been well received in the Lehigh Valley by senior groups, including Update at NCC since 2006 and Prime Time since 2008.
