Nominate a Student for the Irvine Freshman Leadership Award!

Ken Irvine, a former faculty member, has made funding available through a donation to present an award to a full-time freshman that has participated in student activities and/or student government during his or her first year at NCC. The recipient will be announced at the Student Celebration on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 .

Students, faculty, and staff may nominate a worthy candidate. The College Life Committee will review the candidates and select a recipient.

Eligibility for Award:

  • A freshman is defined as any student who has regularly enrolled full-time at Northampton Community College and has successfully completed fewer than 22 credit hours.
  • The nominees shall have made significant contributions in student government, student clubs and organizations, athletics and intramurals, college service and/or any combination of the above.
  • The nominees shall have an overall G.P.A. of at least 2.00.

The application deadline is Wednesday, March 26. The nomination form must be returned to Christine Armstrong, 570-688-4185, assistant professor of communications/theatre at carmstrong@northampton.edu.
