Who's My Advisor?
	New Students All new students should meet with an academic advisor to select their first semester courses.  Advisors are available for new students on a walk-in basis or by appointment.  Click here for the walk-in advising hours and telephone number for appointments.   Full-time Currently Enrolled Students All full-time students are assigned an academic advisor.  The advisor may be a faculty member, advising specialist, counselor, or administrator who advises the student's program.  Advisors are assigned in the beginning of each semester.  Students can access their advisor's name and email address by logging into their Spartan Net account.  Click on the "Biographical" button to view this information.  More Spartan Net information can be found at the Records Office webpage.   Part-time Currently Enrolled Students Part-time students in some select programs are automatcially assigned an academic advisor.  However, most part-time students are not assigned an advisor.  Part-time students are encouraged to meet with an advising specialist or counselor by appointment or on a walk-in basis in the Advising and Transfer Office.  A part-time student may also request to have an advisor assigned.  Click here for the walk-in advising hours and telephone number for appointments.  Distance Education Students Students enrolled in distance education courses are assigned an advisor using the same rules as on-campus students.  Full-time students are assigned an advisor.  Part-time students are not assigned but encouraged to speak with someone in the Advising & Transfer Services Office or request an advisor to be assigned.  Students who are taking courses entirely through distance should contact their advisor via email or phone.  Live advising information sessions are available online via Elluminate Live.  Dates and information can be found at this link.  More information about Distance Education can be found on their webpage.
