Refunds begin:

Summer 1 2008 - Thursday, July 3, 2008
Summer 2 2008 - Thursday, July 31, 2008
Fall 2008 - Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Refund disbursements after this date will be processed through Higher One every Friday:
Financial aid refunds including loans will be disbursed to Higher One on Friday of each week but always within 2 weeks from the day the college receives your funds from your funding source or bank (lender).  Until funds are received by NCC, your financial aid will be in the "Pending" status and you will not be eligible for a refund.

Regarding your student loan:
Students awarded student loans will receive a letter from their lender telling them when funds are being disbursed (paid) to the college.  Most lenders send the funds through electronic transfer.  Some lenders will send the school a paper check that needs to be signed by both the student and the school.  If we contact you to come to the Bursar's Office to sign a check, please respond promptly so the funds can be deposited and credited to your account before the check becomes outdated.  Checks that are not signed are returned to the lender and may not be reissued.

Use Spartan Net to check your Tuition Bill/Schedule to see if your financial aid has been "Applied":  This means that funds have been received and posted to your Tuition Bill.  Once funds are applied, any credit balance will be refunded through Higher One within 2 weeks.   New refunds become available through Higher One every Friday.  You must have a credit balance on your Bill to get a refund.

Click here for an explanation of your Tuition Bill/Schedule: Please note that the "Cash Refund" amount on the Tuition Bill/Schedule is cumulative and represents the total cash refund processed for the semester to-date.

Login to your www.NCCPlusCard.com account to check your refund status: Once funds have been applied to your Tuition bill, you can check your refund status with Higher One.  Your funds will be sent to Higher One within 2 weeks after they are received by NCC.  If they are not in your Higher One account by the Friday after they are applied to your Tuition bill, they will be available on the following Friday.

  • NCC reserves the right to change the date and time of refund disbursement due to mechanical or technical difficulties or unexpected college closings.

  • Remember your financial aid funds are for educational purposes only and are contingent upon your remaining eligible for financial aid. Should you drop, withdraw or fail to attend your classes, your financial aid award may be reduced or reversed and you may be responsible for returning all or part of your refund check. See the Financial Aid Office prior to making any schedule changes.

    HAVE A GREAT SEMESTER!
