Background Information
The Monroe community, growing and ripe with opportunity, is one that Northampton Community College is proud to be a part of. In celebration of our commitment to the educational growth of this community, we are pleased to announce a very special event. “Building Momentum”, celebrating the dream to build a community college in Monroe County from the ground up, will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. at our current Tannersville campus.
Guests will enjoy cocktails. hors d’oeuvres, and dining stations presented by NCC’s Culinary Arts students and staff. This evening of fellowship celebrates the purchase of land and development of building plans, all of which bring us one step closer to the fruition of the “dream campus”. And, in keeping with our plan to build a “green campus”, the Building Momentum event will be a green event, perhaps the first eco-friendly event in the county. From recycled invitations to an electronic program book, we are committed to doing our part to eliminate wasted materials and resources for this event.
