Fall 2008 - Registration Information

REGISTRATION DATES FOR FALL 2008: 

  • Registration is on-going for all students (and will continue through the start of the semester.)

CURRENTLY ATTENDING STUDENTS:

Registration Options:

  • On Spartan Net (requires user ID and password)* Web registration begins during the priority registration period and continues through the last working day prior to the start of classes (Friday, August 22 for Fall). Review a step-by-step tutorial of related Spartan Net functions.
  • You will need advisor approval to register for 12 or more credits in Fall. 
  • Registration options listed below for "New and Reentry" students are also available.

Schedule Changes:

Planning to graduate in August or December?

  • Complete an Application for Graduation. Even if you do not plan to participate in the Winter commencement ceremony, you must complete a graduation application to receive your diploma from Northampton Community College.

*Note: Your Spartan Net ID and password can be reissued through the Records Office - Main Campus or the Enrollment Office - Monroe Campus. Valid photo ID is required! Passwords are not issued over the phone or via email.

NEW AND REENTRY STUDENTS

  • New students must complete a Northampton Community College Application for Admission before registering for classes. Complete the online Application for Admission or apply in person at the Admissions Office - Main Campus or the Enrollment Office - Monroe Campus.
  • Reentry students who attended Northampton, but who were away for more than one semester or who previously applied but never attended, must submit a Reentry Form when registering.
  • You will need advisor approval to register for 12 or more credits in Fall. 

Registration Options:

  • In person at the Records Office - Main Campus or Enrollment Office - Monroe Campus
  • By fax (610) 861-5551 or mail; complete and submit a Registration form
  • Over the phone 1-877-543-0998 (This option is available to accepted students who plan to enroll in 1-2 classes.  Credit card payment is required upon registration.  Have your course/section and credit card number ready. Telephone registration ends on the last working day prior to the start of classes.)

Schedule Changes:

  • Complete an Add/Drop form and submit it to the Records Office - Main Campus or Enrollment Office - Monroe Campus


IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS:

If you decide not to attend, you must notify the Records Office in writing or drop your classes via Spartan Net by the deadline dates published on the Academic Calendar. You are responsible for payment and may receive failing grades if you fail to properly withdraw. 
All registered students should review refund, tuition, payment and residency information.


ACADEMIC ADVISING AND PLACEMENT TESTING:

  • Advisor approval is required for students registering for 12 or more credits in Fall and students on academic probation.  Students registering for fewer than 12 credits in Fall, and who are in good academic standing, do not require advisor approval.  Students who do not meet with an advisor are responsible for checking course prerequisites before registering.
  • English and Math Placement Testing is available on both the Main and Monore campouses. Review the Placement Test schedule and the English and Math Placement Testing Policy


NOTE TO STUDENTS REGISTERING FOR ONLINE LEARNING CLASSES:

  • Visit the Online Learning home page for important information regarding accessing your online course. Under the "Current Students" page, be sure click on "Getting Started" for instructor information and to see if there are any special notes or requirements for your class.
