The Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society was founded at West Chester University in 1990.  It was not until May 9, 1996, when Northampton Community College PHI Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon was chartered.

 
Since 1996, More than 150 students have being inducted into our Honor Society.


XAE criteria for membership (Induction)


Membership is open to those individuals who are admitted to accredited two or four  years institutes of higher learning, colleges, or universities via admission or participation in a Developmental or Educational Opportunity type program similar to Act 101 and utilizing the resources of those programs:

To apply for this honor society you must contact your Act 101 Counselor at 610-861-5342. There is not fee or community services hours involved.

Full Time Students Criteria:
Students must attain a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA for two consecutive full time semesters as full time matriculated students or as a graduating final cumulative average.

Part Time Students Criteria:
Students must attain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for three consecutive part-time semesters taking 9 credits each time for a total 27 credits, or four consecutive PART-time semesters taking 6 credits for a total of 24 credits.
