Spend a day at the Children's Center
Are you an early childhood professional looking for a place to learn more about inclusive childcare? We now offer opportunities for Administrators, Directors and teachers to spend a day with us!
Northampton Community College's Early Childhood Department, in conjunction with a grant from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council has developed a plan to increase the number of child care centers offering care to children with disabilities. This project, Building Inclusive Child Care, has made it possible for us to make our site available to other professionals to learn more.
Why?
You will have a chance to see real classrooms with real teachers implementing early care and education that supports the inclusion of young children with special needs.
How?
Expand your knowledge of universal designs for learning through direct classroom observation, video excerpts, presentations, a packet of resources and information and conversations with the center coordinator or teachers.
