       Achieving College Transitions Now

©       Welcome to ACT Now!

The mission of ACT Now is to

facilitate a successful transition from secondary to post secondary education for students with disabilities through the delivery of transition curriculum to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their postsecondary roles.

The scope of ACT Now is comprehensive,

providing tools to assess transition readiness, and a three-prong curriculum that provides transition-based knowledge and training for students with disabilities, their parents, and K-12 educators prior to the postsecondary educational experience.

ACT Now delivers training to secondary educators, who hold much influence over the educational preparation of students.

ACT Now prepares students for their transition to postsecondary education through a process of self discovery, knowledge and self advocacy.

ACT Now prepares the parents of these students with needed information and understanding to support sons and daughters as they move into adulthood.

ACT Now provides a blueprint for bridging the gap between the transition between high school and college through innovative collaboration and partnership.

ACT Now includes tools for the implementation of transition “expo’s” by colleges and universities.
