FACILITIES CBI has some of the finest training and professional development facilities in the region. Our Gates Center and LVIP IV sites provide comfortable and well equipped environments to facilitate learning. Gates Center This 59,000 square foot facility is home to the Center for Business & Industry offices. It features several multi-purpose training rooms ideal for classes, meeting and seminars. Flexible breakout rooms are able to accommodate 10-150 people in a comfortable, safe and highly professional atmosphere. The Gates Center also houses the gourmet restaurant, Hampton Winds, which caters many CBI executive and professional training programs and events.  Eugene R. Hartzell Technology Hall, located within the Gates Center is a 35,000 square foot facility housing most of CBI's Technical Laboratories. LVIP IV Site This 16,000 square-foot facility in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park IV houses additional technical training facilities, including welding and maintenance training labs. Technical Training Labs In addition to bringing training equipment to your site, CBI has training and professional development facilities on site.  Automated Systems Lab Electrical Technology Labs Students use their multiple skills to troubleshoot all aspects of systems that include robotics, CNC, packaging and injection molding equipment. Students gain practical understanding of concepts and applications of electricity, motors, controls, and distribution through extensive hands-on skills training.   Mechanical Technology Lab Programmable Logic Controllers Lab Provides the fundamentals and hands-on techniques necessary for maintenance and trouble-shooting of automated mechanical systems and fluid power.     Lab panels provide hands-on training in wiring, operating, programming, and trouble-shooting various types of PLC's and networks. The PLC lab hardware includes Allen Bradley SLC500 series PLC's with 5/05 processors and Panel View Plus 400 HMI units as well as Modicon with Momentum by Proworks.  Software for Allen Bradley includes RSLogix 5000, Panel Builder 8.0, RSView ME, RSLinx Classic, RSLinx Professional, and RSLinx Enterprise software.  We have the capability to use every software package Rockwell manufactures. Computer-Aided Design Lab The CAD Lab facilitates training in mechanical, civil and architectural design with software including AutoCAD 2007, AutoCAD 2006, Inventor 10, Inventor 11 (2007), Vault, and Autodesk version 2007 Mechanical Desktop, Architectural Desktop, Civil 3D, Map 3D, VIZ, Revit Building, Design Review, Revit Structur, Revit Systems Plus, AutoCAD Electrical, Raster Design, and Survey. Welding and Materials Testing Lab Seventeen welding booths and other stations providing technology in arc welding for all positions, GTAW, GMAW, plasma arc, semiautomatic torch brazing and cutting. The testing lab handles all forms of non-destructive and destructive metallurgical testing.
