CPR & First Aid The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support and has developed  instructional material for this purpose.  Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course does represent income to the association.
Courses
BLS Instructor Course This two day program is designed to prepare the AHA BLS instructor candidate to disseminate the science, skills, and philosophy of resuscitation programs, and provide the knowledge and skills necessary to instruct and evaluate potential BLS providers.  Prerequisite: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.  CEUs: 1.6
Heartsaver First Aid Instructor This program is designed to prepare the AHA Heartsaver First Aid instructor candidate to disseminate the science, skills, and philosophy of the basic first aid programs, and provide the knowledge and skills necessary to instruct and evaluate potential Heartsaver First Aid providers.  Prerequisite: Current BLS Instructor Card.  CEUs: 0.8
BLS for Healthcare Providers This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO).  Course instruction includes ventilation with a barrier device and bag-mask device.  It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. CEUs: 0.8
BLS for Healthcare Providers - Renewal This session is open to those currently certified in basic life support for healthcare providers and want to renew their certification. Includes a review and update of techniques and skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of ventilation and barrier devices, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO).  It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings with demonstrations and a written test on CPR/AED.  Prerequisite: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.  CEUs:  0.4
BLS for Healthcare Providers Renewal-Part II Skills Check This skills session is open to those who have completed Part I of the BLS Health Care Provider Renewal ON Line Course offered at www.onlineaha.org. Please call 610-332-6585 to schedule your one hour skill check. Please bring your Online Certificate copy with you to the Skills Check. CEUs: 1.0

Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid This course provides the lay rescuer with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize medical, injury and environmental emergencies at the workplace and to provide first aid. Also provides instruction on Adult CPR and use of the AED. CEUs: 0.8

Registration Information
Participants may register for courses online by clicking here, in-person at the Student Enrollment Center at the Main Campus in Bethlehem, and with a credit card via telephone at 1-877-543-0998.  Companies may also register their employees with a billing option.  Please complete the registration form and send with  a cover memo on company letterhead requesting that the company be billed for the courses.  The memo should also include the student's name and course code along with contact information for the company and person completing the form.  Finally, FAX the completed forms to 610-861-5551.
