Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes provide instruction in reading, grammar, writing, spelling, math, life skills, and employment. Individual study, group work, and whole-class lessons are guided by friendly, encouraging teachers.
Adult Basic Education classes focus on lifelong learning skills necessary for the 21st century "knowledge economy." These classes provide opportunities for adults to sharpen problem solving and decision-making skills, think critically, and improve communication skills. Academic tasks are related to the real-life needs of adults as workers, parents, and citizens.
